Course Description

This distance learning Freelance Journalism course is designed to teach you how to write saleable material for a whole variety of publications but especially for newspapers.

There is special emphasis on finding and researching news stories, on marketing and selling your work and how to write for regional and national newspapers.

Lesson 3: Getting Started as a Journalist

Lesson 4: The Essentials of Writing

Lesson 5: Writing Feature Articles

Lesson 6: Broadcasting Journalism

Lesson 7: Laws and Ethics

Lesson 8: Public Administration.

 

Accreditation:

Upon completion of this course you may take a final online examination. Full details of this examination are automatically sent to you at the end of the course. The examination costs €65 and is taken at home at your convenience.  If you receive 70% or more in this examination you will receive an ITEC – Irish Training and Educational Centre Diploma.
