Course Description
If you are planning to teach English as a foreign language then this introductory course will prove of vital importance to you in gaining some initial experience, especially in the initial steps.
An introduction to TEFL covers the two central topics of language and learning awareness.
Specifically this Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) – Introduction course will prepare you for further study in preparation of a formal qualification in TEFL and will give you the basic principles of language teaching.

Lesson 1: What is Language and how do we learn it?
Lesson 2: Should we speak as we write?
Lesson 3: Linguistic and communicative rules
Lesson 4: Pronunciation and variety in English
Lesson 5: Words and their context
Lesson 6: Development Effective Learning.
Accreditation:
Upon completion of this course you may take a final online examination. Full details of this examination are automatically sent to you at the end of the course. The examination costs €65 and is taken at home at your convenience. If you receive 70% or more in this examination you will receive an ITEC – Irish Training and Educational Centre Diploma.
