Course Description
This Alcohol & Drug Counselling resource lays out in simple form the essentials for understanding alcohol and drug problems, for making an assessment of the individual, for giving appropriate help within one’s own competence and for making decisions on when to make professional referral and when to seek the advice of others.
The background of students may be diverse, but whatever the background, the aim of this resource is to enable the student to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to help the suffering individual and their family members into recovery.

Upon completion of this course you may take a final online examination. Full details of this examination are automatically sent to you at the end of the course. The examination costs €65 and is taken at home at your convenience. If you receive 70% or more in this examination you will receive an ITEC – Irish Training and Educational Centre Resource Diploma.
