Course Description

This Basic Plumbing, Wiring & Lighting Skills course will teach you the basic skills for all home plumbing and central heating jobs as well as wiring and lighting.

Please Note: This is an introduction to the topic for DIY projects and does not qualify the participant in the electrical or plumbing industry.

Section 1 – Wiring and Lighting:

Lessons 1 & 2: The Basics/Routine Replacements

Lesson 3: Economics – Electricity Bills

Lesson 4: Fixed Appliances

Lesson 5: Lighting Systems

Lesson 6: Outdoors – Safety/Lighting

Lessons 7 & 8: Garden Lighting and Pumps

 

Section 2 – Basic Plumbing Systems:

Lesson 1: Plumbing Systems

Lesson 2: Wash Basins/Baths/Showers

Lesson 3: Central Heating Systems

 

Accreditation:

Upon completion of this course you may take a final examination. Full details of this examination are automatically sent to you at the end of the course. The examination costs €65 and is taken at home at your convenience.  If you receive 70% or more in this examination you will receive an ITEC – Irish Training and Educational Centre Diploma.
